Intersolar Europe 2021 took place from 6-8 October in a great atmosphere. The Solar Energy Engineering team shared a booth with Fraunhofer ISE.
It was not only the first presence event for many of us since 2019 but also an excellent opportunity to make new connections and rekindle the old ones. Our team representatives traveled to Munich a day before the event and first paid a visit to Fraunhofer Academy.
On the morning of the 6th, the excitement and anticipation were great for everyone. Intersolar reports that there were “more than 450 exhibitors, 45,000 square meters of exhibition space and around 26,000 visitors from 93 countries”.
On the first day, pv magazine reporters spotted us and interviewed our alumna and co-coordinator, Khadija Ahmed, about her thesis and studying solar energy engineering. Connecting with this publication that we follow closely with appreciation gave us butterflies.
Our program coordinator Philipp Bucher toured many booths. He met with private companies and start-ups to share our enthusiasm about solar energy and faith in its future. We wholeheartedly invited them to check out our study programs that can significantly benefit their employees. It was encouraging to see that the global pandemic did not slow down the solar developments.
We surely did not stay only in our booth but toured the ground as much as possible to admire many innovative solar solutions and keep our eyes peeled for upcoming trends.
Another highlight of the 3-day event was seeing our alumni working in great companies and having them visit us at our booth. It felt great to catch up with our graduates!
After all, the verdict is that Intersolar Europe is an event that is not to be missed. 2021 Intersolar Munich emitted a great atmosphere of hope for the solar industry, and ensured the continuing solar renaissance in Europe. The next Intersolar Europe is planned from 11-13 May 2022. We are looking forward to meeting you there again!
